We're happy to announce that Borderlands 2 will be uncut all over the world!
Some fans will remember that the first Borderlands game was a bit toned down in certain territories compared to the rest of the world. No longer! Do you live in Germany? Australia? Bandits will be just as likely to explode into bloody chunks of awesomeness as they will be in Canada or England (which is to say: very likely.)
Or, maybe you’re the type who abhors violence. You’re in luck – we’ve implemented a Gore Toggle option. With a single button press, you can turn Borderlands a less violent experience!
Borderlands 2 launches September 18th in North America and September 21st Internationally. By pre-ordering the game from a participating retailer, you can join the Premiere Club and receive numerous in-game benefits including the Vault Hunter's Relic, Gearbox Gunpack and a free download of the new Mechromancer character class as soon as she's available. The digital download of Borderlands 2 PC is now available for pre-order at some of our digital retail partners including Steam, GameStop, Amazon, Gamefly, Metaboli, Gamersgate and Greenman Gaming!
Digital pre-orders will also receive access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club and all the bonuses that entails -- including a FREE download of the new Mechromancer character class once she's available post-launch.
For those that haven't tried out Borderlands 1, you can purchase the game and all of its DLC at 75% off through 7/30 at participating retailers!

Today, we have some exciting new to share about Borderlands 2 -- the game is headed to certification!
This means that the game’s on-disc content has been locked down and will be thoroughly tested to ensure it is ready for release -– in other words, the game is finished and we cannot make any further changes to the game. As such, the team is now shifting their focus towards post-launch efforts, including the Mechromancer: the new character class that will be released as FREE downloadable content to members of the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club roughly 60 to 90 days after launch.
The Mechromancer is just one of the many bonuses for members of the Premiere Club, which can be joined by pre-ordering Borderlands 2 from a participating retailer in advance of its release on September 18 in North America and September 21 Internationally. The legendary Syd Mead will be signing exclusive prints of the U.S.S. Sulaco from Aliens at the SEGA Arcade in Comic-Con! Signing is on Friday July 13th, from 3pm to 6pm at 200 Harbor Drive, Suite 120, in San Diego. Hope to see you there!
