Animation Lead

Required Skills:
  • Excel in and understand the core principles of hand animating
  • Be knowledgeable and have a basic grasp of motion capture technology
  • Have extensive experience with 3D Studio Max (3+ years)
  • Have extensive experience with Character Studio
  • Have extensive experience with biped character rigging
  • Ability to work with design and programming leads to analyze design intent, identify needs and create comprehensive animation lists
  • Ability to schedule and manage animation tasks
  • Willing and able to manage internal and external animators and teams
  • Basic 3D modeling skills to support rapid animation prototyping
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy mentoring and training
  • Ability to work as a member of a leadership team to make decisions
  • Enjoy enabling lots of player induced destruction
  • Have a very good sense of humor
  • Be able to relocate to Plano, TX (near Dallas)
  • Provide animation reel demonstrating strengths and experience
  • Be willing to perform an animation test at our request
  • Have at least 3 – 5 years experience as an animator
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to write scripts in various scripting languages
  • Have experience with Vicon motion capture equipment
  • Have experience with Morpheme and/or Havok Behavior Tool
  • Have experience working in layers and motion flow scripting in CS
  • Have specific and demonstrable animation experience with Unreal Technology
  • Have a wide range of experience in rigging and animating
  • Facial animation experience
  • Have shipped two titles in the industry as an animator
  • Ability to design, develop and implement new tools and processes as needed to support, enhance and extend the development pipeline
