Super Cool Receptionist

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the front friendly face of the Gearbox Software studio!
  • Greet, welcome and direct all visitors.
  • Screen and direct incoming calls and voicemail.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing packages and mail.
  • Take personal responsibility and pride in the cleanliness and awesomeness of the environment.
  • Assist with event planning and other special projects as needed.
  • Interact with project producers, directors and executives regarding activities and efforts designed to promote the happiness, comfort, morale and motivation of the Gearbox Software creative talent.
  • Regularly coordinate lunch and dinner provisions as needed.
  • Successfully manage vendor relationships and negotiations.
  • Maintain and order office supplies
  • Act as building liaison.
  • Perform reasonable ancillary tasks for team members.
  • Run company errands (office supplies, post office, catering)
  • Cover Executive Assistant breaks, time off, etc.
Required Skills:
  • Natural comfort and spirit to participate in and contribute to a dynamic, lively and fun office environment!
  • Extremely personable disposition. Described by terms like outgoing, friendly, cheerful, fun and resourceful.
  • Confident proficiency in common Windows PC desktop functions and tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proactive and self driven with excellent attention to detail, follow-through and accuracy.
  • Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding goals and expectations.
  • Flexibility- with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to conceive and drive office improvements with creativity and finesse.
  • Reasonable ability to effectively negotiate with vendors and perform shopping tasks as directed or empowered.
  • Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience, preferably in a fast-paced start-up, small or medium sized company.
  • Must be able to work 9:00am to 6:00pm (will require some overtime, odd hours and weekends)
  • Have a high school degree and be at least 18 years of age.
  • US citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.
  • Prior experience in any entertainment, media or video game related industry a plus, but not required.
  • Love of video games is a huge plus!
